ATI's designs tend to be simpler and less powerful, but cost less to build and can offer better value for money. VERDICT: Set against the fierce competition of the GTX 570, only a £25 price difference caused the HD 6970 to lose out on our Best Buy award. It isn't the fastest graphics card in our group test, but it provides an excellent balance of performance and value for money.
