Tesco to offer shoppers free Wi-Fi internet access

Shoppers could soon be able to access free Wi-Fi as they pick up their groceries if a trial by Tesco proves successful. The supermarket giant is currently trialling a free Wi-Fi service that can be accessed by customers in four of its UK stores. It did not reveal which stores were involved. If the trials are successful, the technology will be rolled out across the company's 2,700 UK stores. The Wi-Fi connection is expected to be free to use, but may be removed if abused. It's also trialling an Android app that helps customers to navigate their way around the company's Romford, Essex Tesco Extra branch.
