2 in 5 smartphone owners use webconnected apps

Two in five (40 percent) of the
UK's mobile phone owners used
an internet-connected app on
their handset in April. Research
by the GSM Association and
ComScore revealed that Google
Maps was the most popular app,
with 6.4 million users. Yahoo's
Weather app was the second
favourite, with 3.6 million users.
Facebook's app came third,
with 3.5 million users.
