Question on Heart Rate, anxiety and excercise...

Hello all,

My wife (who is in her late 40's) suffers from asthma and sometimes anxiety. She started walking on the treadmill last week, for 30 minutes (sometimes 20 min) to try and get in better shape heart wise. So, my question is this..She has asthma and sometimes when she walks on the treadmill, her asthma is triggered off. Is this something that she has to "get over the hump" by walking on the treadmill consistantly?

Also, her blood pressure is always ok, but her heart BPM always seems to be in the 90's...is that normal for her age?? What can she do to bring that down? Does anxiety play a role in the BPM? Sometimes it will be in the 80's but we have a blood pressure monitor at home and she says when she checks it, she'll get a little anxious right before it's done reading.

I just wanted to make sure she is ok and that her BPM's aren't out of whack.

Thanks
